“The Princess of Taboo”

Ali Weiss is an on-air presenter, comedian, and writer. Born and raised in downtown New York City, she’s known for sharp, unapologetic social commentary and a willingness to dive head first into so-called ‘forbidden’ topics.

Ali has been hired by companies like Vice, Playboy, A&E, Soho House, Standard Hotels & Verizon Wireless to facilitate provocative yet insightful conversations about everything from the cannabis industry to wellness and pop culture. Skilled in establishing a rare and mutual trust required to ask celebrities pointed - even controversial - questions, she’s interviewed public figures in politics (Edward Snowden, Daniel Ellsberg), reality television (Whitney Port, Katie Maloney), electronic music (Cassian, Yotto, Will Clark), and the adult entertainment industry.

Ali continues to humanize controversial subject matter through her confessional podcast Tales of Taboo. She dissolves the traditional boundaries between host and audience by creating conversations around their unique experiences, shared without being named or seen. Under the cloak of anonymity, Ali’s subjects are given permission to be radically (sometimes shockingly!) honest and challenge cultural norms of stigma and shame. Her search for convention-defying stories has also taken her into subcultures across America: right-wing political rallies, forest raves and Bike Weeks, and fish-throwing parties on the Flora-Bama border, to name a few.

Ali’s social media videos have garnered over 25 million views.

You can find her on Instagram, TikTok, or hanging around Greenwich Village.
